Jayesh Sachdev X Studio Numen

Conceptualize the Artwork
The installation was conceptualized as an interactive projection piece, where motion tracking and silhouette detection were integrated with the visual design to create a seamless transition from monochrome imagery to responsive color transformations, making the viewer an active part of the artwork.

Conceptualize the Artists Vision
The projection content was developed by translating Jayesh Sachdev’s artistic vision into an interactive visual narrative. Inspired by his sculpture, the visuals were designed to express the shift from inherited belief to personal inquiry, using responsive imagery to create a seamless journey of transformation.

Visitor Experience
The interactive installation created in collaboration with Jayesh Sachdev translated a sculptural concept into an interactive-immersive experience, inviting visitors to engage with ideas of belief, perception, and personal interpretation.
Inspired by one of Sachdev’s sculpture from “He Who Permeates” at TAO Art Gallery, the installation used motion responsive visuals to contrast unquestioned belief with individual inquiry. A monochrome projection shifted into color and transforming temple imagery within the viewer’s silhouette, turning their presence into a reflection on questioning tradition and redefining the sacred.

The Art
Interactive Art
The installation unfolds as an interactive projection environment where visitors step into a visual narrative shaped by their presence. A black-and-white artwork inspired by the temple sculpture reflects inherited beliefs and unquestioned ideas of worship.
As visitors move closer, their silhouette reveals color and transforming temple imagery within it, turning the experience into a reflection on how questioning inherited beliefs can reshape personal understanding.
